Internship Opening
Learn the publishing process from manuscript assessment to publishing, distribution, and marketing from an experienced mentor in a caring work environment.
High Prairie Press has an opening for an intern for a part time (8-12 hrs per week) position. The publishing company is based in Colorado. The position is virtual.
Intern will learn:
- Manuscript assessment
- ISBN registration and management
- Formatting tools for nonfiction manuscripts
- Cover design tools
- File conversion tools
- To navigate the major publishing platforms – KDP, Barnes and Noble Press, IngramSpark, and Lulu
- Marketing strategies
Job requirements:
- A working familiarity with Microsoft Word
- Familiarity with Canva preferred but not required
- Familiarity with major social media platforms
- Knowledge of basic English Grammar
- Reliable internet connection
- 8-12 hours per week availability-flexible schedule
- 6 month commitment with a possible 6 month extension
- Must be a native English speaker
